Today...

We had a great day today!  We got out around 10 and were planning on feeding the ducks by Granddaddy's house but when we got there there were no ducks.  Noa and Elijah were still sleeping so Isaac and I decided to go to the park in Mt. Juliet.  We had a great time!

Isaac played on the monkey bars, played in the sand, Noa and Elijah played in the sand for the first time and ate it, and decided it didn't taste very good.  But yet continued to eat it!  I finally had to take them out of the sand!  YUCK!

They all got to swing!  Noa and Elijah shared a swing!  First time swinging.  I actually was able to take some pictures of it all too!

We then walked to Sonic to get lunch.  Isaac asked why are we going to Sonic and I said because Mommy didn't pack our lunch, why mommy? because I didn't think we would be out this long and I didn't really have time to pack before we left I was just thinking about getting out of the house!  Isaac - Oh! :)  We have officially entered the "why" stage!  Everything is "Why" now!  My favorite saying is "Why, Because" he answers himself I guess:)  We had a great lunch.  It turned out to be a little longer walk then I had thought it might be in my head...  And of course no shade...  I think they all enjoyed it more than getting in the car and driving there.

Afterwards we went over to my parents for a little bit.  Isaac took a nap in the car. (Don't worry the air was on and we have monitors so when they wake up we hear them:)!)  The twins were good entertainment while we were there!  They are getting to a great stage!  They kept fighting over toys.  Well mostly Elijah would take everything Noa had.  At one point Noa was entertaining herself by going back and forth between two toys.  It was great entertainment for us all:)

Today I have been thinking a lot about our friends' brand new baby.  She was born Saturday and they took her home and had to go back to the hospital last night.  I don't know many details at all, I just knew two things: to pray!  and that she was not breathing on her own.  This had me thinking back to what we went through with Isaac when he was first born.  I was thinking today that it is amazing how much you can love someone who you have only known for a few days, or even just a few minutes!  I remember when they were telling us all the bad news about Isaac how hard that was!!  Then I just started thinking about all the crap we had/have been through together.  How before Isaac was born I went through so many health problems and then Isaac was born and he had problems and then we were given twins... ?  And Elijah had trouble with his lungs in the beginning.  Then I started thinking about what a blessing they are and how perfect they are all now!  The twins are hard.  Very hard! But I just started thinking that God gave me two when I only expected one.  He entrusted two lives at once to me!  I was given two more children to love and watch grow when I was only expecting one.  And I'm pretty sure that it would have only been one more!  But God knew we needed two more!  That just makes me feel so special!!  And to think of all the stuff we went through to get to this point where we are now, it really seems like nothing.  Yeah in the moment, it was horrible, unbearable, but looking back now it has brought us to where we are today.  And who we are!  One bible verse that I have held on to over the pass 5 years is Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This sure has played out in my life!  Boy did he prosper me:)  Not sure my reason for blogging all this.  I think mainly for myself, so I can remind myself that life isn't about the day to day its about the lifetime of memories and where you end up!  Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day we forget to look at the big picture!  We got word tonight before dinner that the precious little baby I had been thinking and praying for all day today, is doing really good.  They have taken her off of the ventilators, and they said all their prayers have been answered!  We still don't have many details but we are still praying for this little girl and I just keep praying that she turns out as perfect as my three who all came into this world as miracles!!!  God is so GOOD!!

Thursday nights

Thursdays are very different now. Jay's job changed recently and with that his hours changed. They are a lot better than they initially started out but still not great. He works everyday 8-4:30 except Thursdays he works 1-9pm. He doesn't like his new position at all which is no good. Working is never fun and it's even worse when you don't like what you do. Anyway, so he is home in the mornings on thursdays which has been nice! It gives us a chance to get a few things done. But then I have to put the kids to bed by myself. And that's no fun! Most Thursdays my dad has been coming to help me but tonight he didn't feel good so he stayed home.
Well things went pretty well. The twins took a little power nap around 5:00 so that allowed me to get dinner ready for me and Isaac. Then we all had dinner together. I fed the twins some squash. Elijah kept coughing like he had something caught in his throat. And kept acting like he was going to throw up. Well after a while he did. It wasn't too bad of a mess because he was in his high chair so it just all went on his tray and him. Well they all needed baths anyway so this just made the decision final. So I attempted to give them all a bath. I left the twins in the high chairs while I got everything ready. Then I put everyone in the bathroom and shut the door. Isaac is great in the tub!! So he just gets in and does his thing. I started with Elijah since he was covered in puke. Do you remember me mentioning that my children don't sit still, well that's in the tub too!! I have a little seat that they can sit up in which helps a little. Elijah was climbing out of it though trying to get soap and all isaac's toys. At the same time Noa was trying to climb in the tub to get isaac's toys also. So I get Elijah out and trying to get him dressed as Noa is still trying to climb in the tub. Head first I might add. So now it's Noa's turn. So now Noa is climbing out of the chair and Elijah is trying to climb in the tub. At one point they were both about to go head first into the water. As Isaac is laying flat in the tub spinning in circles. Oh yeah in the middle of all this i thought i heard someone in the house. So when I got Elijah out I ran through and locked all the doors! So finally I get everyone out, safely I might add, and get every in their pjs! WHEW!!!!
I started getting everyone in bed. Started Isaac a movie in our room and he laid down. Got Noa a bottle and started trying to get her to sleep as Elijah is crawling all over the two of us. Finally I just laid in bed with all three and the twins fell asleep. Got them in their beds and got to go lay down with Isaac. Right before he feel asleep I was hugging him and telling him how much I loved him. I told him "I'm sorry it's so crazy sometimes" and he said "I'm sorry too!" So cute!! I love that little boy!!!
Goodnight:-)

Communicating

The twins have started communicating to each other. It's really cute! They just mumble back and forth and sometimes Elijah screams a little. I can just imagine what they are saying... Noa: "I'm hungry" Elijah: "just be patient. Mom is putting Isaac down for a nap. She'll be back in a min. And all attention on us!" Noa: "well I'm tired and hungry. I hope she feeds me first so I can go to sleep" Elijah: "me too! Then I'll get all the attention to myself!"
Haha. Then later I was trying to get Noa to sleep and Elijah was crawling on her pulling her hair everything. They are so funny!!!

Abby

So Abby is Isaac's new imaginary friend.  It is so cute and funny to hear him talk about her.  So showed up one night after riding in Granddaddy's truck.  My dad, Jay and Isaac went down to Murfreesboro to look at some patio furniture.  On the way back Jay texted me and said that Isaac was just talking and talking and was not stopping.  When he got home he continued to talk.  We soon discovered he was talking to Abby.  When I asked him where Abby was he said, "right here" as he shrugged his shoulders and pointed.  Like duh mom don't you see her...  He continued to tell me all about Abby.  Her parents were at the store. She has two babies, a brother and sister like him.  She has a backpack that carries everything she could ever need!  She usually is wearing pink and/or princesses.  Abby goes to school with Isaac.  One day his teacher said he didn't nap the whole naptime he was talking to Abby.  The next day during naptime at home he came out several times to tell me what Abby was doing or what she needed.  The other day Isaac was riding in granddaddy's truck and Isaac was talking so granddaddy was answering him and talking back.  Well Isaac told him to quit talking to him he was talking to Abby.  It is so funny!!  Abby has been good and bad.  When he doesn't want to do something if we tell him Abby is doing it then he usually does it.  But when Abby kept Isaac from taking a nap two days in a row...  it was time for Abby to go home for the night.
One night he was sitting around talking on his phone.  He loves to call people on his phone and talk and talk!!  Well he was talking to Abby about coming over.  Jay's friend Don was on his way over so we told Don to "pick up" Abby on his way here and told Isaac that Don was bringing Abby with him.  Well, when Don got here with Abby Isaac stood at the door as disappointment rose on his face we realized that he was expecting a real Abby.  So we had to explain that Don brought Abby.  So then there was the other Abby.  Who we are guessing is real...  I found out that there is an Abby in his class at school.  I have asked him several times if the other Abby is from school but he says she isn't.  But imaginary Abby lives on.  She eats with us and sleeps with us.  Showers with us and has to be buckled in when we go places.  It is great!!  I love that he has such a wonderful imagination!!!

Busy Week

Well, I felt like I had to get on here and post something!  I've been thinking about it a lot.  So much has been going on it is so hard to find time to get on here and post stuff.  We stay pretty busy!  The twins are now 7 months old.  They are all over the place!!  They are both crawling and Noa has been pulling up for over a week now.  Elijah just started over the past few days pulling up. They are movers!!  I guess I just have very acive children!  I was at a friends house the other day and their 7 month old was just siting...  I said I didn't know babies could just sit!  Mine never have.  Elijah actually started crawling before he ever sat up.  I came home and told Jay, did you know that there is actually a stage where babies just SIT!?!?!!  None of our children have ever done that!  We got a "play yard" its a fence in the living room to keep them in.  They hate it, but at least we have a place to put them if we have to do something for a little bit.  They have no reason to hate it.  All their toys are in there.  The only time they seem to like it is if we are in there with them, or if they are in a perfect mood! Not hungry, not tired, not poopy, thats pretty much never... ha.  Elijah had his first tooth break through Thursday night.  We went to the MTSU game. Well, let me just tell you about our most 2 active days, probably ever!!

Wednesday I decided to take them all to the zoo.  We have a zoo membership and I hate to just waste it.  The temperatures are starting to go down a little so I thought why not.  Its either sit at home and listen to them all whine about being in the play yard or get out and do something!!  So I decided to get out!  They all fell asleep on the way there.  Which was good because I was able to get there and get everything ready to go in without screaming kids.  So I figured out the best way to travel through the zoo by yourself with 3 kids.  I'm sure most people don't even attempt this!  We have a side by side double stroller, like an umbrella stroller x2.  So I was able to hook the wagon handle around the handle of the stroller.  So all I had to do was push the stroller and it pulled the wagon.  It was quite ingenious and I got A LOT of compliments on it!!  A lot of people told me I was a super mom:)  That made me feel good.  They were probably thinking in their head "insane super mom"... ha:)

We started our zoo trip to see the elephants and giraffes.  I learned to start here first or you don't make it.  There is a huge hill to get up to them so if you go at the end you are way too exhausted to get up that hill.  So I started our zoo visit pushing the double stroller pulling the wagon up this huge hill!!  Talk about a good workout!!  Only to get up there and the elephants weren't even out yet!! They need a sign at the bottom of the hill that says, "don't bother climbing this hill yet, you aren't going to see what you want to..." ha:)  Luckily the giraffes were out!!

Isaac had a blast!  He road the carousel by himself (well with Abey, see post "Abey") while the twins and I watched.  The twins seemed to have a good time until we got in the never ending loop!  There is this one loop in the zoo that I can never seem to get out of, and I always seem to be in the middle of it when someone or all of them get tired.  This time Elijah started fussing and Isaac wanted one of those character drinks.  And told me about 100 times that he wanted one before we got out of the loop.  We finally got out and had lunch.  Everyone was in great spirits during lunch!  Then we headed home shortly after.   I was so sore that night!!

The Flamingos!
Lunch

Yes, this is Noa trying to stand up in the wagon!
All of us at the zoo. If you look real close you can see the top of Elijah's head!

So then on Thursday, Isaac had school.  That morning Jay was home because he has a new schedule now and on Thursdays he works from 1pm - 9:30pm.  We aren't loving it but it is nice to have him home a little during the day!  We didn't do much just took Isaac to school and ran a few errands.  We had plans when Isaac got out of school to go over to his friends and go swimming.  So we went over there and all swam.  The twins love the water!  And Isaac really loves it! Sometimes I'm afraid too much!  The pool wasn't crowded at all so that was nice.  At one point Isaac was jumping in this float, kind of like flipping back.  He was having a blast but making me a little nervous.  I told him to be careful.  I was feeding Elijah during this also.  I was about to take a picture because he was having so much fun.  Well right then he jumped back a little too far and flipped in the water.  I jumped up to get him.  By the time I got to him he was already standing and ok.  He was pretty upset though.  It definitely scared him!  He wanted to go home after that.  Luckily another lady was there with her daughter who had a bunch of toys there and she invited him over to play tea party.  He was all about that! And was back in the water before long!  But not doing any more flips.

Well, after the pool I decided to head down to Murfreesboro for the first MTSU football game of the season.  My parents were going.  Jay had to work late so I figured why not...  I almost turned around and went back home before I even got there.  Elijah screamed pretty much the whole way down.  Then when I got there I had a parking pass for the closest parking lot, which was full.  I'm thinking you've got to be kidding me!!  Luckily, they just opened another one not too much farther away.  So I found that before I lost my mind and went home.  It didn't go too bad, and we actually made it to half time!!  Isaac again had a blast!!!  And they were all so stinkin' cute in their MTSU gear!!
Isaac hung out with my parents while I juggled the twins (with help from my mom and some others).  I decided that Isaac is why I do all this craziness!  I want to entertain him as much as possible and I know it isn't much fun being cooped up in the house with the twins so I try to get out with him as much as possible.  And we have fun, that's all that matters!  Well, Elijah then cried the whole way home.  Remember when I mentioned earlier that Elijah had his first tooth come in.  We got home and they all went to bed pretty easily.  Jay was home to help also!

This is the end of half time.
Isaac is watching the band as I am loading up the twins.
Ginger (mother of triplet!) is helping me keep them happy:)

So yes all this in two days!!  Friday, my dad took Isaac for a few hours for me so I could go grocery shopping.  I had Noa in the shopping cart and Elijah in the pack on front of me.  It surprisingly went really well.  I finished about the time they started getting restless.  I had one lady tell me, "you are good at what you do!  I don't think I could do that"  :)  That made me feel good.  Better than the people who say, "you are crazy"!  Ok not many come out and say that but you sure can read it on their faces!!
